My Vision (Why I Do It)
I believe in inspiring and empowering people to see possibilities, take action to make possibilities a reality, eliminate barriers, so that people are able to live life fully, with dignity and worth.
I welcome people of all backgrounds and communities including and not limited to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, LGBTQIA2S+, sex positive, body positive, nuerodiverse, food allergies, outdoors.
My Mission (How I Do It)
I utilize a person-centered approach, honoring a person's dignity, worth, and culture to develop a collaborative partnership of treatment, healing, recovery, and wellness.
My Action (What I Do)
Together, we assesses needs and strengths, identify possibilities, set goals, try things out, reflect upon and grow from experiences. All while we collaboratively work to reduce and eliminate barriers, adapt to challenges, and attain goals.
As an Independently Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Arizona, I have provided services for over 12 years in a variety of settings including community mental health, residential treatment, community substance abuse recovery programs, and crisis response.
I have been trained in and utilize a variety of modalities and therapies to meet each person's treatment needs. Including and not limited to Trauma-Focused, EMDR, Neurobiology of Trauma and Other Mental Health Concerns, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Relational and Attachment-Based, Systems Perspective, Substance Abuse, Sensory/Somatic.
I earned my Bachelors and Masters of Social Work from Arizona State University. My other interests include giving back to the community through volunteering with youth and outdoor organizations, supporting persons with food/environmental allergies, and being in the outdoors and nature.
